COURSES

A unique experience for children 11-18 years of age combining lessons in Spanish language, cultural immerson, science-ecology and physical activity in Costa Rica.  Classes are taught by experienced university professors in a traditional suburban town close to the capital of San Jose.

Week 1  
Day 1 2 Spanish lessons & City tour to Heredia
Day 2 2 Spanish lessons & visit to InBio Park
Day 3 2 Spanish lessons & visit to museums
Day 4 1 Spanish lesson & field trip to Poas Volcano and Water Falls Gardens
Weekend trip Arenal Volcano  National Park & local indigenous reserve
Week 2  
Day 1 2 Spanish lessons & Latin dance lesson
Day 2 2 Spanish lessons & visit to Zooave
Day 3 2 Spanish lessons & visit to Children Museum
Day 4 2 Spanish lessons & visit to Natural Science Museum La Salle
Weekend trip Manuel Antonio National Park & Surf  lesson
Week 3  
Day 1 2 Spanish lessons & Costarrican cooking lesson
Day 2 White Water Rafting Sarapiqui River
Day 3 2 Spanish lessons & visit to coffee plantation, Santa Maria de Dota
Day 4 2 Spanish lessons & streets cleaning activity (pick up trash)
Weekend trip Camping, Bajo Rodríguez
Week 4  
Day 1 2 Spanish lessons & visit to Costarrican Handcraft manufacturing
Day 2 2 Spanish lessons & reforestation activity
Day 3 - 4 -5 trip to organic farm & Tortuguero River Channels
Day 6-7 Flight back home

HOUSING AND FAMILY

Single rooms

Price includes three meals per day  (breakfast, some lunches & dinner at home) .

All housing is within walking distance of the Institute.

  PAYMENT

Payment can be deposited in the Institute’s bank account . To obtain name of bank and account number please contact Andrea Soto.

  NOTES

Prices are in U.S. dollars.

•Spanish  Classes are 40 minutes in length.

•Some excursions and activities are due to change, depend on season and weather conditions

•In case a group wants to come back again, Spanish lesson can be continued and they will have different field trips and activities.
